Special Times

Many of you may know that my mother-in-law had been living with us for the past 8 motnhs. AND... last weekend we moved her to her own place a couple miles away. Sunday night was her second night in her new apartment and I noticed Anna needing some extra love, she seemed a little sad. So, at bed time I had her come into the dark living room and get up on my lap with her blanket so we could talk. We were visiting about how Nana had moved out when I asked her if she was sad that Nana had left our house and she said that she was, I then asked her why and she said, "becasue now I don't have anyone to play with." Oh, that made me so sad, I said, "well I can play with you," and Anna replied, "No, Mama your always to busy doing things around the house." Ummmph, Wow, that didn't feel to good. So, we went on into further disussion and I shared with Anna that I would "PLAY" with her 10 min. every night. She is so innocently sweet! She seemed happy with our outcome, and I explained that she gets to go to Nana's and spend the night know since she lives so close. Anna thought that sounded great! But here is the real kicker...
Monday morning as we were driving to school, Anna looked up at me and said, "Mama I really loved you holding me and talkin to me last night." My heart just melted! As my children get alittle bit older I find myself struggling with how I balance my life. As a working wife and mother it is so challenging. I realize that Anna is 6 years old already and Jude 3 it is simply amazing how quickly time passes and that I must cautiously enjoy every minute / day / month and year I have with them. I love being a mom to this two wonderful kids. Threw the tears and laughter it is the best job in the world!

You bet it's the best. My favorite saying is that my child will not care that my house is dirty or the laundry isn't done but will always remember the time that I take for her. Enjoy them..it really does go by too fast
