Rain, Rain, Go Away Come back another Day!

Let's just say the title of this blog says it all!
It started raining Friday afternoon and finally stopped this afternoon.
We tried to make this weekend as eventful as possible considering the monsoon season has hit? Wait, the monsoons only happen in India, not the Quad Cities.

Yesterday, soccer got cancelled, so I took the kids to the Bettendorf Family Y swimming. Eric had to give parent tours at Augie for Family Weekend. Eric and Jude went to the Augie football game. (It stopped raining long enough for the game to get played) Vikings WIN 30 - 0 !!!

Today, we went to church, and cleaned up the house. My mom and her husband Maury came to spend the night. They brought their family, Murphy and Matti. Jude and Anna love the dogs. So after making chicken fajita's on the grill, Eric, the kids and I took the dogs on a walk around the neighborhood. This morning before my mom got here I made a home-ade peach cobbler. So after the walk we all enjoyed fresh peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream! YUMMY! The recipe was delicious!
