Fun in the Sun.

Well, it's back to the grindstone today after a really nice weekend. Yesterday was my dad's birthday. He was "coming" through town so I whiped up breakfast for him and his wife. I must say I outdid myself: yummy over-night baked french toast with fresh strawberries & blueberries, hasbrown /egg casserole, and italian turkey sausage w/ red peppers and onion. I love to cook new things, one might say I am my mother's daughter. Just not as extreme! It was good to have dad and linda over, the kids really re-connect so quickly!

Eric is off again he left yesterday at 1 pm for Boston. He won't be back until Thursday. It's amazing how much the kids and I miss him we he is gone, I can't tell you how many times a day Jude will ask where is daddy? I must brag alittle, when I spoke to Eric earlier today he sounded thrilled, at his first appointment this morning he secured a $10,000 gift to the college, and at this second appointment he secured a $25,000 gift. I am really proud of him, he loves his job and the college. It amazes me at how he is so loyal and dedicated to the institution. As you know I've always been a Y person, but to see Eric with Augie I'm just in ahhh.

Once we got Eric off yesterday, the kids and I packed up and headed to Camp Abe Lincoln's outdoor pool WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME! They both played in the water for over 2 hours. Last night after dinner I only had to say it's bedtime once and they were there! One would think we should spend everyday at the outdoor pool, anyway...
Tonight we're off to the library.
Have a Great Week!
