"Back to NORM"

Eric enjoying his first ever taste of TATER TOT CASSEROLE!

Anna returned from Camp Grandma with all kinds of new little presents, and happiness to see dad, Jude, and myself. It is amazing how in three days we missed her so much! I'm really proud of her for sticking it out the last night all by herself after cousin Camrie went home. However, Anna had a melt down before dinner, I'm thinking two reasons, 1. PURE Exhaustion! 2. MOM's back in charge! I've always heard that Grandparents are known to spoil their grandchildren and I have first hand witnessed it tonight!

As you may or may not know, for the last 5 months Eric's mom has been living with us. I have not written about this somewhat on purpose because I want to keep this blog to be about my kids, but I must say a few words tonight...
Good, wait GREAT news, Nana Pat got a call from BET(Black Entertainment Television) yesterday afternoon at 3 pm telling her they had a temp. to hire position they wanted her for. The kicker was it started today, so Eric gave me a call at 3:15 pm and told me that she was packing up a couple bags and he was driving her to Chi-town last night!

Tonight was wonderful. Eric, Anna, Jude and myself had a little bit of normalcy in our house. We had dinner just the four of us sitting at the table discussing life, then all headed outside for alittle wiffle ball. It was great we all took turns batting and pitching. I loved every min. of it! Came inside around 8 for snacks and story time. I'm typing this as Eric is putting the kids to bed, I love Eric so much for putting up with all the women in his life and allowing us to lean on him. I try hard not to burden him with my issues, as my issues are very insignificant compared to some of the other women in his life. He continues to amaze me at how strong he is for his mom, his aunt, and his cousin. God Bless him!
