For sometime now I have had an urge to travel again to some far off land? Eric continues to remind me what a wonderful community we live in and that the the QC is a fantastic place for our kids. I do agree with him, but continue to remind him that if he or I were to be offered an unbelievable opportunity else were I would be there in a heart beat. Come on we've lived in the QC for almost 6 years isn't it time for a change? So, I guess what continues to come to mind is a missions trip either through church or the Y?? That is why last night I attended a meeting a church to learn more about going on a missions trip? I along with 20 8th grades listened to PAstor Eric review the dedication to the lord one must make to do this work, not to be selfish and to go for him. This made me think alittle about if I would be doing it for me or for Jesus. Initially, I was super excited when PAstor Eric stated Patty (Pastor John's wife) would be leading a group of women to Zambia in September. But the more I thought about it I realized it's not in my hands and that I need to prey about it and if it is ment to be I will eventually go on a trip. I must b patient and wait for the call. Back to the 8th graders they are all headed to Tennesse in a month or so.
After church this morning Eric headed to Chicago to attend an Augie Aulmni music concert. He will spend the night and head back tomorrow afternoon after visiting with 2-3 more alum. It amazes me how much pride Eric has toward Augie. I don't know what it is, how he can be loyal to a college? I guess my Alma Matre didn't have the same impact on me??? Or maybe I was ment to be an Augusatana Viking but didn't get on the right road to end up there? Anyway...
As for Jude, Anna, myself, and Pat were' just lazing around the house. I'm resting up for another week; exciting news I start teaching my second round of "Economics for Success" at Edison Jr. High tomorrow this is a JA class, should be a good time. Have a good week!
