Piano Recital
Anna began playing piano this summer with a wonderful lady, Laura Crumbelhome. Laura home schools her girls and keeps them very active in the arts. We are so happy she is teaching Anna. We were advised to wait until Anna was reading before she started piano. Anna has lessons every Tuesday evening for 30 minutes and practices 2-3 evenings a week here at home on our piano. (Eric bought our piano 6 years ago for $1,500 at a piano sale at Augie, thinking he was going to learning to play. Let's just say that didn't last!) AND... thanks to Anna the piano is getting used.
Anna had her first piano recital last night at West Music in Moline. She played two songs; Old McDonald and Hot Cross Buns. She looks a little pale in the photos, thats because she has been out of school since Tuesday with a low grade fever and an ear infection. I left it up to her if she wanted to attend the recital and she decided she wanted to play her two songs. We were so very proud of her, I asked her if she was nervous and she said she was but she walked right up to the piano sat down an played her pieces like a pro. I pray that she will continue playing and we will someday look back on her first recital and smile. Enjoy the pictures.
