Neglecting the Blog World

Now that I've joined facebook I find myself not wanting to blog??? Ummm, must be because I'm reconnecting to old friends all the time. Anywho...

The daily happenings around the Rowell Crew lately have been like that of most midwesterners and that is we are trying to stay warm during this serious deep freeze. This morning when I got up I looked at the temperature at it said 2 degrees, then as we were walking out of the house I looked again and it said -2. WOWIE! Can you say COLD! Because I new it was going to be cold today I made the kids wear extra layers. Anna, tights under her pants, Jude white t-shirt under regular shirt and sweater. I didn't hear any complaints of being to warm when we headed off to school and work this morning!

This past weekend my mom and her husband visited and we enjoyed their company. I made home-ade French Onion and Chicken Noodle Soup, love the soup this time of year, and so do the kids! Anna is back in Swim Lessons on Saturday mornings at the Y and Jude gets to play in the kids gym. This is going to be our new Saturday morning routine.

Eric and I are patiently awaiting out BIG trip to D.C. this weekend. This is the first time the two of us have been away from the kids so I'm alittle nervous. We've got all kinds of activities planned so I'm sure the time will fly by. We are really looking forward to a wonderful 4 days.
