Turkey Trot

OK, I'm sorry about the downer post Monday and I appreciate the call from my dear friend Annie in German and the bible verse from my sister. Everythings fine and I'm so greatful to those friends and family that I have as support!

Now for what's going on for the next few days, if you don't know the Y has a BIG race the "TURKEY TROT" on Thanksgiving morning we average between 1,500 and 1,700 runners. This afternoon at 3:15 pm we were at 1,100 runners this is GREAT considering we should have about 500 in the next two days?!!?!? Also the weather is always a big factor and it's supposed to be in the mid 40s. I'm acutally really excited for the race this year, I have a great committee of volunteer's!!!

As for the Rowell Turkey Dinner it's not happening until Thursday night around 7 pm. Eric insisted we have a bird and I didn't care either way. So, he went grocery shopping today with my list and came home with both a Turkey and a Ham. The local Hy-Vee Grocery store had a special that if you bought a ham you got a freee Turkey. So, he did great! Eric and the kids are watching Charlie Brown Thanksgiving as we speak! I want to wish everyone a very special Thanksgiving enjoy the fellowship!
