Dinner & BIX

We had guests for dinner last evening. YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln every summer has a number of International Staff. Anna has been going to Day Camp at Camp Abe Lincoln and fallen in love with two of the international counselor's. Miss Ifeal is from France and Miss Deer is from Venezuela. Eric and I made salmon on the grill, and fresh green beans and salad from the farmers market for them. They were very appreciative since they have been eating camp food all summer. Strawberry Shortcake for dessert which was Anna choice. Anna and the girls did a little "camp show" for Eric, Jude, and I singing all the camp songs she has learned this summer. We love hosting international people in our home. It really allows one to open their eyes to the world and what it has to offer.

Here are a few pictures from the BIX, it's a 7 mile run that the Quad Cities hosts every year. It's a big deal for the city, thousands of people come to run every year. This is our second year watching, the kids seemed to get into the "race." This was the man in first place when we were watching.
