BUG IN DADDY"S BELLY

Why is it when daddy is sick the whole world feels like it is coming to an end? Well...
Eric called me at work andannounced he wasn't feeling the best and that the rueben sandwich and the chinese food he had in the Wilson Center for lunch at Augie weren't settling to well. He in fact said his stomach actually hurt! If you know Eric he claims he hasn't thrown up since 8th grade and "doesn't really get the flu." He is so comical when he doesn't feel well. It is all down hill, in the bed, under the covers etc. etc.

Upon arriving home last night from the Y, I explain to Jude in the car that daddy wasn't feeling the best, Jude immediately remembers when Anna and I had the "BUG" two weeks ago, so Jude says in his cute little Jude way, "Daddy's got a bug in his tummy?" I explained to him yes he did and that we needed to let daddy rest when we got home.

Amazing, as soon as we walk in the front door Jude goes charging into the bed room and states, "Daddy, you have a bug in your tummy, let me see it?" We explain that there is no seeing the bug but it just make your tummy hurt.

Anna on the other hand understands but announced after I took the two of them out to the backyard for some fresh air after dinner that it wasn't as much fun without daddy playing with us. So we all said alittle prayer at bed time wishing daddy well.

As for tonight it was all about lightsabers from Star Wars, they even went on our walk with us? Eric insisted and Jude didn't mind a bit, the entire walk the two of them played. So Cute! Anna once again amazed me after dinner with reciting a line from the "Princess Bride," movie stating:

"My name is Diego Montoya, you killed my father I kill you."

Great things we teach our kids, anyway... after explaining to both Anna and Jude it's not really appropriate to say I KILL YOU, they responded well to me not liking those words and stopped.
When I told Anna it wasn't appropriate to say this she replied, "What does appropriate mean?" I just gotta love how inquisitive she is but I never thought about explaining the things I do to her.

At a later blog I need to write about the bird egg she found with a yolk in it and our whole conversation from the house to her school one morning. I'll leave that for another day. All is well and good night!
